Calling all pumpkin enthusiasts: Powell Gardens, Kansas City's botanical garden, is looking for volunteers to help carve pumpkins for its GLOW: Jack-o'-Lantern Festival, which takes place Oct. 14-15, 2016.
To create a magical experience, staff and volunteers will carve 700+ pumpkins for the festival. The carving takes place from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 12 and 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Oct. 13. Volunteers are welcome to help any time within those hours, and they will receive a free festival pass so they can see the results of their work.
Carvers must be at least 16-years-old, and all skill levels are welcome. Groups are also welcome. For more information or to sign up, please contact Connie Harclerode, volunteer coordinator at Powell Gardens, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
