April Prairiefire happenings: Easter Bunny Brunch, Barnum Bingo, Live Music and more
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 29, 2019) – Prairiefire, located at 135th street in Overland Park, is kicking off April with a full calendar of events to look forward to!

Pure Barre and Brunch at Pinstripes – Sunday, April 7 from 9 – 10 a.m.

Live Acoustic Music at Coco Bolos – April 6th, 20th and 27th from 8:30 – 10:30 p.m.
Join Coco Bolos Wood-fired Grill & Cantina for live acoustic music by talented, local artist Alex Lahasky. Guests can also enjoy reverse happy hour specials from 9pm – close.
Barnum Bingo FUNdraiser – Friday, April 12th at 5:30 p.m.
Mark your calendars for Museum at Prairiefire’s Barnum Bingo FUNdraiser featuring the infamous "Bingo Bob" on Friday, April 12th! The FUNds raised will benefit the Museum's KC Urban Advantage Program which provides access, education, transportation, and lunches to the KC Metro Area's most underserved schools. The proceeds will go directly toward providing the lunches for the 15,000 students who participate in the Museum at Prairiefire’s program. Lightweight Backpacking Workshop at REI – Wednesday, April 17th from 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Join REI for its Leightweight Backpacking Workshop to learn ways to reduce your overall pack weight for your next adventure. Bring your packed, trail-ready pack for an interactive gear shake-down. An REI expert will teach attendees hands-on skills that can make base weight lighter. No additional gear necessary. Cost is $20 for members and $40 for non-members. The Great Dinosaur Egg Hunt at the Museum at Prairiefire – Saturday, April 20 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Grab your basket and hop on over to the Museum at Prairiefire for a morning of springtime family fun at The GREAT Dinosaur Egg Hunt, complete with Dino Photos, Music and Crafts.
Advanced registration is required to scour the wetlands for Dino Eggs. $5 per egg hunter, MAP Members are FREE. Sign up for a MAP Membership between now and April 20th to receive a FREE 2-person upgrade.
Members Only Garage Sale at REI – Saturday, April 20th from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
REI Members are invited to come in for amazing deals on "as is" merchandise that has been used and returned. Items are priced to sell and attendees are encouraged to come in early for the best selection. You must be an REI member to purchase items from the Garage Sale. Easter Brunch with the Bunny at Pinstripes – Sunday, April 21 from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Buffet-style brunch featuring an omelet station, prime rib carving station, kids’ corner with mac and cheese and chicken tenders, and traditional breakfast foods. Lunch selections include Chicken Marsala, Chicken and Goat Cheese Pasta and a dessert station with a chocolate fountain. An Easter bunny will be there taking photos with guests. The cost is $28 for adults, $15 for children between 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.
Yoga Brunch at Pinstripes on Sunday, April 28 from 9 – 10 a.m.
