6th Annual Oktoberfest at Prairiefire features family-friendly activities and entertainment on Oct. 12

Festivities run from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and include pie eating contests, pumpkin decorating, petting zoo and more

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 20, 2019) – Prairiefire, located at 135th street in Overland Park, will host its 6th annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 12, featuring activities for the entire family. The event will include a pie eating contest, carnival games, a petting zoo, face painting, children’s activities including bounce houses and more.

The event will take place in rain or shine. Admission and activities are free and open to the public.

The Brass Onion will offer number of Oktoberfest and domestic beers in its Beer Garden, along with a special Oktoberfest menu.

Oktoberfest Special Deals


Coco Bolos Wood-Fired Grill & Cantina will offer Margarita Bar and Walking Tacos from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.


Rock & Brews will offer pints of Oktoberfest and select fall seasonal beers for $5, along with giant pretzels and German bratwurst with sauerkraut.


Decadent will offer $6 caramel apples and $3 pumpkin gelato.
