Praveen Sinha backed NeoStencil helped UPSC Toppers for Exam Preparation

Backed by Praveen Sinha, Neostencil is an education-based startup that offers free and accessible platform for candidates appearing for the civil service exams. The UPSC results that were announced May 31, showed a very positive pattern. Of the 1,099 candidates who have cleared this tough test, 100 candidates had attended online coaching via NeoStencil.com.

Every year, UPSC receives over 12 lac applications. However, not all of them can do justice to their preparation due to financial limitations, working schedules or family commitments.

Nowadays, preparing for the Civil Services Exams is worth its weight in gold. Apart from the course fee, it entails the dilemma of quitting jobs, and the relocation expenditure that aspirants have to bear while moving to coaching capitals, located around various parts of India.

To shoot ahead of this problem, many tech-savvy students have started switching to online platforms, such as NeoStencil, to connect with teachers for guidance with ease. “The objective behind NeoStencil is to provide better coaching to UPSC aspirants who are unable to afford pricey coaching sessions,'' says Investor Praveen Sinha.

Abhilash Mishra (Air India Ranking 5 in the UPSC 2016 main results) says, “Time management played an important role in my exam preparation. I am already undergoing training for the Customs and Excise services and it was quite tricky to maintain a balance between the both.”

He also adds, “Typically, candidates struggle while managing time and dealing with conflicting schedules of classes at different institutes. NeoStencil was a convenient platform for me to attend online IAS lectures from the preferable teachers."

Mishra is one of the candidates who have benefitted from technology. Another successful candidate, Manuj Jindal, AIR-53 eloborates: “I couldn’t relocate to Delhi for attending sessions of my favorite teacher, but live classes on NeoStencil made me felt like I was physically present in the class, although I was studying from home at midnight.”

In the recently announced UPSC mains result 2016, over 500 selected rankers were student from classroom programmes of NeoStencil’s 25 partner institutes and over 100 of those were enrolled with live online classes.

“We are proud and happy that majority of the successful candidates are students of our partner institute. This signifies the quality of teachers that NeoStencil enables through the online platform,” shares Praveen Sinha.

Sinha further says, “It’s an online education-based startup founded by alumni from AIIMS/ IIT/ IIM and is affiliated the top coaching institutes and teachers across India."

Currently, NeoStencil works on a marketplace model and there are several other platforms that provide online classes through recorded tablets and pen-drives. “These startups have revolutionized the techniques of exam preparations. Platforms like NeoStencil are here to stay and help India achieve the target of inclusive education,” claims Praveen Sinha.
