Q39 collaborates with Martin City Brewing Company to create exclusive Brew 39
Kansas City, Mo. (Jan. 31, 2018) – Q39 recently partnered with Martin City Brewing Company to create Brew 39, a brand-new collaboration beer exclusively on tap at both Q39 locations. Chef Rob Magee of Q39 and Nick Vaughn, Martin City Brewing Company’s Brewmaster, collaborated on the new beer.
The amber style beer has an abv. of 6.5 percent. Martin City Brewing Company used an old English yeast to give the beer its English pub ale like character. The batch has smoked malt and a slightly higher mash temperature to round out the bitterness with sweetness.
“It pairs so perfect with Q39’s insane barbeque,” said Matthew Moore, Director of Operations at Martin City Brewing Company.
“The Q is awesome,” said Moore. “We wanted a project that can help enhance both the food and beer scenes of each simultaneously.”
Brew 39 is served on tap at both Q39 locations. Visitors to the Martin City Brewing Company tap room can also experience the Brew 39.
Q39 is a unique hybrid of wood-fired grilling and fresh award-winning barbeque, opened first in Kansas City, Mo. In 2014 and in Overland Park, Ks. on Aug. 14, 2017.
