High Wind Warning in effect today through Wednesday morning

(Bighorn Basin, Wyo.) - Now through 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, there is a High Wind Warning in effect for Park County. These winds will continue to increase overnight tonight over the Absarokas, Cody Foothills and the eastern slopes of the Wind Rivers. Light snow will also be possible across the northwest, with chances increasing overnight as well. Below is a special weather statement from the National Weather Service in Riverton. High Wind Warning remains in effect from 5:00 p.m. this afternoon to 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Very strong winds will develop quickly by sunset today and then peak early Wednesday. This high wind event has the potential to be much stronger than your average high wind event.West wind 35-45 mph with gusts between 60-80 mph. Some of the windier locales such as Clark have the potential to hit 100 mph or more during this event. #reboot #news
