Update from Cody Police Department on Bomb Threat at Walmart in Cody

(Cody, Wyo.) - On Friday, November 27, 2015, at approximately 1544 hrs, Cody Police Officers responded to the Cody Wal-Mart 321 Yellowstone Avenue, Cody, Park County, Wyoming to the report of a bomb threat. Park County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center received a recorded phone message from an unknown source indicating there was a bomb at the Cody Wal-Mart. Members of the Cody Police Department and the Park County Sheriff’s Office responded, performed an evacuation of building and conducted a search/sweep. The result of that search/ sweep revealed no bombs or suspicious devices. Preliminary investigation into the incident revealed Wal-Mart stores in Rawlins, Wyoming, Rock Springs, Wyoming and Riverton, Wyoming all received similar messages.
