Monday and Tuesday reports for both Powell and Cody; we noticed an increase in warnings and tickets for speeding in a school zone, folks. Please be aware and slow down, especially around the kiddies. *Cody Incidents on 12/08/2015* 1:15am Traffic Stop - resulted in arrest Officer initiated activity at Big Horn Ave/Freedom St, Cody. Arrest Made: Tyler Marchant, Powell, 23, arrested for DUI and Failure to Maintain Lane. 7:37am Traffic Stop Officer initiated activity at 16TH St/Salsbury Ave, Cody. Warned for speed in a school zone. 7:55am Traffic Stop Officer initiated activity at Circle Drive Park, 16TH St, Cody. Warned for speed in school zone. 8:07am Traffic Stop Officer initiated activity at 16TH St/Bleistein Ave, Cody. Warned for speed in school zone. 9:43am Warrant Service Attempt Officer initiated activity at Cody Law Enforcement Center, River View Dr, Cody. Disposition: Served. 11:32am Property Damage A truck making delivery to NAPA drove down an alley by a residence and broke a tree branch on her property, causing damage to Christmas lights. 12:02pm Motor Vehicle Crash Occurred on Carter Ave, Cody. A vehicle struck a parked boat and trailer in front of above location when she sneezed. No injuries. 2:28pm Motor Vehicle Crash Occurred at West Park Hospital E.R. on Sheridan Ave, Cody. Female reported that she struck a parked black SUV in front of the hospital. No injuries. 11:55pm Traffic Stop - resulted in arrest Officer initiated activity at 29TH St/Marlisa Ln, Cody. Ashlee Clymore, Burlington, 29, arrested on outstanding warrants. *Powell Incidents on 12/08/2015* 7:37am Traffic Stop Officer initiated activity at N Gilbert St/E Coulter Ave, Powell. A traffic stop was performed and the driver was issued a citation for driving while license revoked and speeding in a school zone. 9:13am Fraud Related Occurred on Avenue G., Powell. Received a report that the reporting party had been receiving messages on Facebook indicating they had won money. An officer responded and advised this was a scam and not to give any personal information. 11:15am Domestic Occurred on S Jones St. , Powell. Received a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers responded and made contact with both parties involved who had been arguing. They agreed to separate for the time being. 12:11pm Traffic Stop Officer initiated activity at E Monroe St/S Jones St, Powell. A traffic stop was performed and the driver was issued a warning for failure to stop at a stop sign. 12:15pm Animal-Stray Officer initiated activity at Grand St/Ponderosa Ct, Powell. The CSO noticed a large yellow dog and tri-colored Border collie running at large. The dogs were returned to the owner and they were issued a warning for dog running at large and a citation for failure to obtain dog license. 1:32pm Domestic Occurred on N Cheyenne St, Powell. Received a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers responded. After investigation, Jeannie Kuharik-Sears, 33, of Powell was arrested and transported to the Park County Jail for the charge of Breach of Peace. 2:14pm Fraud Related Occurred on Avenue D, Powell. Received a report from a resident who had been receiving phone calls from someone stating they were from the IRS. They told the RP they were coming to arrest them for fraud. The RP was advised this is a scam and to not give any information. They were also advised that if anyone shows up at their house to call for law enforcement to respond. 3:10pm Traffic Stop Officer initiated activity at E 3RD St/N Clark St, Powell. A traffic stop was performed and the driver was issued a citation for speeding in a school zone and a warning for no proof of insurance. 3:27pm Traffic Stop Officer initiated activity at E 5TH St/N Clark St, Powell. A traffic stop was performed and the driver was issued a warning for speeding in a school zone. 3:34pm Traffic Stop Officer initiated activity at E 2ND St/N Evarts St, Powell. A traffic stop was performed and the driver was issued a citation for speeding in a school zone. *Cody Incidents on 12/07/2015* 1:48am Animal-Stray Occurred at The Cody Hotel on West Yellowstone Ave. , Cody. On lawn of the hotel- 2 miniature horses 1 reddish blond, 1 black with white face, a Clydesdale dark brown, 1 horse tan/red- not out on the road yet. Assistance Given. 8:02am Motor Vehicle Crash Occurred at Maverik North on Big Horn Ave. , Cody. Reporting vehicle backed into another vehicle in the lot. No injuries. Maroon Nissan Frontier vs. Brown Chevy truck. Assistance given. 11:49am Motor Vehicle Crash Occurred at Pinnacle Bank (Branch) on Yellowstone Ave. , Cody. Reporting party advised she was just struck in the parking lot. Silver Chevy SUV vs. tan Toyota Tundra. Assistance given. 4:58pm Harassment Occurred at Jubys Trailer Crt. on 19TH St. , Cody. Reporting party states that a male subject harassed her when she was walking her dog to the mail box. Assistance given. 5:31pm Motor Vehicle Crash Occurred at Walgreens on Sheridan Ave. , Cody. Hit and Run-No injury/no blockage-fender/bender. Assistance given. *Powell Incidents on 12/07/2015* 7:36am Traffic Stop Officer initiated activity at Homesteader Park, E Coulter Ave. A traffic stop resulted in a warning to the driver for speeding in school zone and expired tags. 10:27am Disturbance Occurred on N Ingalls St. Officers responded to a verbal disagreement between two subjects. Both subjects were spoken to and agreed to work it out without further incident. 12:45pm Traffic Stop Officer initiated activity at E 7TH St/Panther Blvd. A traffic stop resulted in a citation to the driver for speeding in a school zone. 4:13pm Animal-Noisy Occurred on W Bald Ridge Dr. Officers responded to a report of dogs barking in the area, the owners were contacted and put the dog in the residence. 5:48pm Traffic Stop Officer initiated activity at W Coulter Ave/Road 10. A traffic stop resulted in a warning to the driver for driving without a valid driver’s license. 4:25am Animal-Noisy Occurred on N Absaroka St. Subject called to report a barking dog throughout the night.
