Meeteetse Cowboy Bar Burglarized

(Meeteetse, Wyo.) - On Saturday January 2, 2016 at 8:18 a.m., Jakquelyn Nicole Blake, age 33, manager of the Cowboy Bar located at 1932 State Street in Meeteetse reported that the business had been broken into and ransacked sometime overnight. A Park County Sheriff’s deputy immediately responded. Upon arrival, the deputy discovered the glass in the front door to the business had been broken out. Apparently, the suspect(s) gained entry through the broken door window. Blake reported that a “contest” jar was missing from the bar area that contained approximately $200 in cash as well as an Apple iPad computer tablet. There was evidence that the suspect(s) searched throughout the bar for anything else of value but there was no other apparent damage to the interior. However, there was also damage to the rear door where it appeared the suspect(s) attempted to gain entry there before moving to the front door. The case is still under investigation; therefore no further information is available at this time.
