Dispatch: Report of trespassing, dogs barking, suspicious activity at Walmart, and more

(Bighorn Basin, Wyo.) – Here is the Monday, January 4, 2015 recap of law enforcement activity in the Cody and Powell area. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Arrests/Citations:* Shane Palmer, Cody, 28, Arrested for Warrant. 911 calls - 1 *Cody Police Department* At 8:25 a.m. a caller at Walmart in Cody would like to speak with an officer about a trailer setting up a living area in the parking lot. Caller would like a Police Officer to discuss his options for getting them to leave. Assistance Given. At 2:22 p.m. a reader at Walmart on Yellowstone Ave. in Cody. Caller has a female customer that states that she had her purse stolen in the store. Loss prevention office. Unfounded. At 6:50 p.m. a caller on 6th St. caller and reported that a neighbor's garage door open since 2:00pm today. Caller said they are moving in and sometimes leave and do not come back on the same day. Believes they may have left it open on accident and would like someone to check on things. Assistance Given. At 9:26 p.m. a called at Parkway Trailer & RV Park on Yellowstone Ave. Caller said below male came to their residence that he is trespassed from approximately 2 minutes ago, caller then noticed items missing from residence. Made subject dump out his backpack which revealed items belonging to the RP. Male has since left the area on foot headed be toward Walmart .LSW grey & black jacket, denim carpenter jeans, Norte Dame black ball cap. Red backpack is still with the RP. See Case. *Powell Police Department* At 11:15 a.m. a caller on Avenue D reported a dog that had been barking all morning. An officer responded and made contact with the owner who had forgotten to put the bark collar on the dog before they went to church that morning. Completed. At 12:42 p.m. a caller in the Powell area reported a plastic wallet type holder was reported lost. Its cover is clear and back is black. The RP called back later and advised they located their wallet. Handled. At 8:45 p.m. a caller on E 1st St. in Powell reported a request for law enforcement to assist in removing a patron who had been trespassed previously. Officers responded and Peter Ferfes, 33, of Powell, WY was subsequently arrested for Public Intoxication and Interference with a Peace Officer. He was transported to the Park County Jail. Warning Issued. Tuesday, January 5 - At 12:26 a.m. a traffic stop occurred at E 1st St./N Clark St. A traffic stop was performed and after investigation, Bill Terry, 64, of Lovell was arrested for DWUI and transported to the Park County Jail. #reboot #news #dispatch
