Dispatch: Harassment Complaints, Stray Dogs and Reports of Reckless Driving

(Bighorn Basin, Wyo.) Here is the recap of law enforcement activity for Tuesday January 5th in the Powell and Cody area. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Arrests: Richard McCloskey arrested on a warrant. Cody Police Department A woman complained that a person was just at her home and has been calling and harassing her as well. Assistance Given Complainant at Mountain Valley Engine stating that a customer had been making threatening calls and harassing employees at the location and they would like to speak to an officer. Assistance Given. Powell Police Department Report of a black lab type dog running loose. The owner was notified and issued a warning for animal running at large and failure to obtain a dog license. Warning Issued. A stray dog was caught and the officer responded to pick it up. The owner was issued a warning for failure to obtain a dog license and animal running at large. To Animal Shelter. Officers received a complaint that there were two aggressive dogs in the back of a pickup that was parked at a business. An responded but the vehicle was gone upon arrival. Officers received a report of a vehicle that had been swerving all over the road coming into Powell. Officers were notified and responded to attempt to locate the vehicle. An officer located the vehicle at a residence and contacted the driver. The driver was issued a citation for careless driving. #reboot #news
