Who's going to be the next Cody PD Chief? Meet the candidates this Thursday

(Cody, Wyo.)- The search for a new Chief of Police for the Cody Police Department has been narrowed now from 77 candidates to just 5. This Thursday is the day to meet man who will take that position. City Administrator Barry Cook announced five final candidates for the Chief of Police vacancy. They will be invited to Cody for a community reception, to which all City staff and community members are invited. The community reception will be held at Olive Glenn Country Club, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, on Thursday, January 14, 2016. At the community reception, people will be welcome to personally meet and speak with the Chief of Police candidates. The candidates will meet with interview panels on Friday, January 15, 2015. The interview panels will include community members, city staff, and the City Administrator. These are the five finalist candidates. Chuck Baker – Mr. Baker is a police commander who has over 36 years of municipal police experience, he is currently serving as an acting deputy chief for the Commerce City, CO, Police Department. Jonathan Beck – Mr. Beck has recently served as the Interim Chief of Police, as well as, served as acting Chief of Police for the City of Cody, where he has served as a police sergeant for 14 years, including experience as a detective sergeant. David Kvam – Mr. Kvam has 26 years of municipal police experience and is presently a police commander with the Maplewood, Minnesota, Police Department. M Ron Leonard – Mr. Leonard has 28 years of law enforcement experience and is currently a lieutenant with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office in Colorado. Keith McPheeters – Mr. McPheeters has 24 years of municipal police experience and is presently the Deputy Chief with the Farmington, New Mexico, Police Department. #reboot #news #whatshappening
