Silver Dollar is very excited to announce that Cody native, Nathan Walsh-Haines, and his band The Brothers Gow are coming back to play at the Silver Dollar on Fat Tuesday, February 9th. The Brothers Gow
have made Cody a regular
stop each year, with a total of 4 times last year! When asked what brings
them to Cody every year, Nathan explains, "Brothers Gow played in Clark at
the WHAT fest in 2011, they were totally surprised how awesome the crowd
responded and when I joined the band and we went on tour, Buffalo Bill's
hometown came up again. We decided to give it a shot and if nothing else,
we could eat some good food at my mom's house and get rested up for the
rest of the tour!"
Nathan, their drummer, continued, "Never in a million years would I have
ever imagined that I would come home and visit my family here in Cody this
many times a year."
The Brothers Gow was founded in 2007 in Flagstaff, AZ and are known for
their groovy funk and reggae sounds. For the first couple of years they
played for fun and for their love and passion for music. Once the band
started taking their career more seriously, in no time they were on tours
across the United States.
Catch Nathan and the rest of the Brothers Gow Band on Tuesday, February 9th
at the Silver Dollar at 9pm, doors to open at 7pm. Cover charge is $10. For
an extra $5, get Steve's famous Gumbo!
