Stay active and meet some amazing people at the Wyoming Senior Olympics

(Cody, Wyo.) - Each year, hundreds of active adults- ages 50 and over- travel from all over the state to compete in the Wyoming Senior Olympics Winter Games. This year, the City of Cody has the pleasure of hosting this event for its second year. Men and women will enjoy a weekend of fun activities and competition of skiing, swimming, basketball, pickleball and more. [image: Inline image 1] "These activities can be as competitive as they want them to be," says Amy Quick, WSO Event Coordinator, "This is just a great opportunity for people to stay active, meet some really amazing people and explore the Cody area." To add to the fun there are a series of noncompetitive events available to participants. These noncompetitive events include: - *Night at the Movies- *February 18 at 4:30pm and 7:30pm, Big Horn Cinemas. Watch the film, "Unbranded " - Click here to learn more about the film. Meet and Greet before the show at 7pm. Tickets are available now for the general public at the Cody Chamber for the 4:30 show. Tickets will be sold specifically to WSO athletes for the 7:30 show. If there are tickets not claimed by athletes for the 7:30 showing we will open those up to the general public after February 1st. - *Night at the Museum- *February 19 at 5:30pm, Buffalo Bill Center of the West. WSO is looking for volunteers to help with this event. Folks will explore the natural wonders of the Draper Natural History Museum while enjoying appetizers, cash bar, private tour of the museum and performance by Dan Miller's Cowboy Music Revue . - *Athlete Celebration- *WSO will celebrate the accomplishment of the Winter Games athletes at the VFW Hall on February 20th at 5:30pm with a full dinner catered by Bubba's, cash bar, and silent auction. WSO is looking for volunteers to help with this event. [image: Inline image 2] For the registered WSO Winter Games Athletes, Sleeping Giant Ski Area is offering full day lift tickets for half price ($17; 70 yrs & older FREE).
