#Throwback: Wyoming winds take down temple

(Cody, Wyo.) - It shouldn’t be news to anyone the wind in Park County can be brutal. Take the case of the Masonic Temple in Cody. Built in 1912 on the southwest corner of 12th St. & Rumsey Ave., it only stood for a few months before a wind storm blew it down in January 1913. It was quickly rebuilt with sturdier masonry & was known as the Temple Theater, because in the early days of Cody the building doubled as a civic center, showing movies & hosting plays. #reboot #news
