Dispatch: One arrest, theft at Wal-Mart

(Bighorn Basin, Wyo.) – Here is the Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 recap of law enforcement activity in the Cody and Powell area. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Arrests: * Kevin Carl Barela aged 27 arrested for reckless endangerment *Cody: * Occurred at West Park Hospital on Sheridan Ave. Caller says her vehicle was damaged early in the morning while she was at work. Says her driver's side door was dented. Occurred at Wal-Mart on Yellowstone Ave. The caller needs to report that his daughter's phone was stolen from Walmart. She is in Greybull and he is here in Cody. He is in the lobby to speak to an officer. *Powell: * Officer initiated activity on S Bent St, Powell. Officers arrested Kevin Barela, 27, of Powell on an active Circuit Court Warrant out of Park County, Wyoming. He was transported to the Park County Jail. Occurred on N Bent St, Powell. Officers received a report of a neighbor pulling their vehicle up next to the caller’s window and leaving it running with the music going. The caller said this wakes up his family members and sometimes the vehicle is left running for a few minutes or sometimes it runs for hours. An officer was advised and responded. The vehicle left before he arrived. The officer told the caller that if it comes back and runs longer than a few minutes, to try to get a license plate number and call us to come back over to talk to the resident. #reboot #news
