Travel Chile at NWC

(Powell Wyo)- Three Northwest College students from Chile will become travel guides Wednesday, March 23, touring their audience through the three regions of their homeland in a 7 p.m. program in the Yellowstone Building Conference Room. Considered one of South America’s most stable and prosperous nations, Chile’s regional cultures and traditions are defined by their north, south or central locations. Images, music and information from each region will be presented during the evening, along with a small display of items from the country. Empanadas, a cheese and meat dish, will be served with mote con huesillos, a traditional Chilean drink. Two of the Chilean students are studying to become English teachers and one is majoring in outdoor education and leadership at Northwest. They’ll share their observations about their native land through the lens of their academic disciplines and experiences in the United States. The public is invited to attend this free program sponsored by NWC Intercultural Programs. #reboot #news
