Cody students are helping grant wishes

CHS students play a Cheetos toss game with whip cream on a shower cap. Why are they doing this you ask? It's to make the wishes of seriously ill children come true. Cody High School kicked-off a week of fundraising events yesterday with an assembly for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Students participated in activities such as a bean bag toss, and a Cheetos catch at the street carnival held in the Cody HS commons. There is also the Wall of Stars – Freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior classes will compete throughout the week for the most money raised by selling Make-A-Wish stars. Stars are $1 each or six for $5. All teachers are participating in a competition between their classes to raise the most funds. The winning classroom will receive a pizza party. Cody High School participates in a program called Kids for Wish Kids, which encourages students to raise money for children who are battling life-threatening medical conditions. Cody has participated in the program since 2002, raising $139,359 for Make-A-Wish during that time. #reboot #news
