Dispatch: Two Arrests and a Firearm Theft

(Bighorn Basin, Wyo.) – Here is the Tuesday March 22nd, 2016 recap of law enforcement activity in the Cody and Powell area. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Arrests * Desirae Marie Gams 21 arrested for driving under suspension or revoked license Lyle Edward McNeil, 27 arrested for 3rd DUI in ten years, open container and driving while suspended or revoked. *Cody * Occurred on Rumsey Ave, Cody. Caller reporting the theft of a firearm from his vehicle. Occurred at Jubys Trailer Crt on 19TH St. , Cody. Caller says the below listed male, who is actively trespassed from the entire park, is standing on her porch. She would like him removed. Occurred on Kent Ave, Cody. Reporting party states that a male subject is yelling and that it sounds like he is hitting the female that lives there. *Powell: * Officer initiated activity at E 7TH St/N Day St, Powell. A traffic stop was performed and the driver was issued a warning for left brake light out and no driver's license in possession. Occurred on Wood St, Powell. Received a report of a lost 8 year old female calico cat with a purple collar with bell and rabies tag. Disposition: Officer initiated activity at N Douglas St/W 3RD St, Powell. Received a report of a male black and white Border collie type dog running loose. The dog was taken to the animal shelter to be claimed. Officer initiated activity at E 7TH St/Panther Blvd, Powell. A traffic stop was performed and the driver was issued a warning for speeding in a school zone. Occurred on N Hamilton St. , Powell. Received a report of harassment via texting. The person texting the caller was advised of the complaint and notified to stop making contact with them. Officer initiated activity at N Clark St/E 5TH St, Powell. A traffic stop was performed and the driver was issued a citation for speeding in a school zone. Officer initiated activity at E Coulter Ave/N Ferris St, Powell. A traffic stop was performed and the driver was issued a warning for broken windshield, failure to display registration on the back of the vehicle, and for speeding in a school zone. Occurred on W Coulter Ave. , Powell. Received a report of threats being made towards the caller. An officer spoke with them and they did not want contact made with the person at this time. They were given some options on how to handle the situation. Disposition: Completed. Occurred on S Jones St. , Powell. Received a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers responded and made contact with both parties involved. It was determined that it had only been verbal and one of the parties agreed to leave for the night. #reboot #news
