The snow has slowed, but more is on the way!

(Cody, Wyo.) A spring storm is set to bring heavy wet snow and hazardous driving conditions at times to much of Wyoming. The Cody area has already seen snow totals from 1.5 to .5 inches and more is expected. Tonight we can expect to see up to 3 inches with a low end snowfall total on 1 inch. We can also expect to see winds of up to 55 miles per hour. The national weather service has also issued a warning to livestock owners urging them to take precautions for young animals. Within the storm areas a strong northeast winds will cause much blowing and drifting snow. Check the latest forecasts and Wydot before planning travel tonight through Wednesday. Snow amounts, 3 to 6 inches of snow have already fallen in the Absaroka mountains. Total expected snowfall 1 to 2 feet in the mountains. 6 to 12 inches at the lower elevations.
