(Bighorn Basin, Wyo.) – Here is the Friday, April 8 - Sunday, April 10, 2016 recap of law enforcement activity in the Cody and Powell area. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Arrests:* On April 9th, Selena Alcaraz of Cody, age 19, was arrested for warrant. On April 10th, Ramon Garcia, Odgen of UT, age 22 was arrested for Criminal Entry. *Cody, Friday, April 8* At 8:53 a.m. Property Found at Cody Animal Hospital on Sheridan Ave. Person found ID and credit cards on the ground between Tractor Supply and Cathcart. Assistance Given. At 1:49 p.m. a Motor Vehicle Crash occurred at Wendy's on Sheridan Ave. Mazda black, white oldsmoblie, in the drive thru. Citation Issued. At 3:55 p.m. Other Law Violations occurred at MP53 Hwy 14-16-20 E on Highway 14-16-20 E. Reporting person reports some people on the lake operating with an internal combustion motor. Informational. At 4:14 p.m. a disturbance occurred at Big Horn Basin Orthopedic Clinic on Lindsay Ln. Reporting person needs an officer to escort a disruptive male in his mid 50's out of the office-he is being verbally abusive to the staff in wanting his wife's pain medication. Assistance Given. At 9:45 p.m. there was a Welfare Check at 19th St. Reporting person reported that she picked up a young female that was sleeping on the steps of a church on 19th St and dropped her off in front of CIS about 5 min ago. Unable to locate. *Powell, Friday, April 8* At 6:18 p.m. Suspicious Activity occurred on W Coulter Ave. Officers were requested to do a walk-thru of a business on a report of males who had been overheard discussing trying to shop lift. Officers walked through and were unable to locate the subjects. Completed. *Cody, Saturday, April 9* At 1:57 p.m. a disturbance occurred on Holler Ave. Reporting person states husband may have taken an overdose of med's not sure as he is tearing up the place. Assistance Given. At 2:14 p.m. a theft occurred at Wal-Mart on Yellowstone Ave. 10 yom in the AP office with his father, he was caught shop lifting. Assistance Given. At 2:18 p.m. Motor Vehicle Crash occurred at Yellowstone Regional Airport on Roger Sedam Dr. Reporting person backed into a vehicle at the airport and was unable to find an owner, he left the information for his contact on the windshield. Assistance Given. At 2:20 p.m. Domestic occurred on 15th St. The Reporting Person is third party. She was on the phone with her sister. Her sister and her husband are fighting. The call was disconnected and she is unable to reach her. Unknown alcohol or weapons. Assistance Given. At 6:16 p.m. a Motor Vehicle Crash occurred on 19th St. Reporting person says that sometime today her car was sideswiped while she was at work. *Powell, Saturday, April 9* At 10:09 a.m. Traffic Complaint occurred on E 3RD St. Officers responded to the area on a report of a white Dodge truck that had ran through three stop signs almost causing an accident. Officers were not able to locate the vehicle. Completed. At 1:53 p.m. a disturbance occurred on Queens Blvd. Received a report of a mechanic dropping a vehicle off at a residence that belonged to someone else. The reporting party said the landlord was blaming her, threatening her and kicking the car. Officers responded. The mechanic agreed to come and get the vehicle and the landlord will call the mechanic’s shop and let them know his policy for dropping off vehicles. Assistance Given. *Cody, Sunday, April 10* At 9:28 a.m. a theft occurred at Our Place on West Yellowstone Ave. Two couples were eating together in the restaurant. When they left only one couple paid for their meal. Unknown which couple belongs to which vehicle. Assistance Given. At 2:27 p.m. a disturbance occurred at Shoshone Court Apartments on Pioneer Ave. Two males in the parking lot threatening each other. One male subject pulled a knife. See Case. At 5:55 p.m. on County Road 3CX/Sheridan Ave. there was a large grass fire - Fire Department on scene. Assistance Given. At 6:43 p.m. there was an Animal Bite that occurred on Sheridan Ave. Occurred on Thursday 4/7 - Reporting person reports a friends dog bit her 20 month old son. She took him to WPH ER and then to Billings for surgery. *Powell, Sunday, April 10* At 10:07 a.m. Property Damage occurred on E 2nd St. Received a report of vandalism. An officer responded and the case is under investigation. See Case. At 10:34 p.m. Child Welfare check occurred on W Coulter Ave. Received a report of a male who was wandering around a parking lot with a small baby that was not covered up and it was cold outside. The Reporting Person had offered him a blanket for the baby or a ride somewhere and he declined both, said he was just trying to calm the baby down. An officer responded and checked the area but was not able to locate the male and baby. Gone On Arrival. At 6:11 p.m. Traffic Complaint occurred on E Jefferson St. Received a report of a juvenile riding a dirt bike through the park, around the park and into traffic without yielding. The caller said the juvenile was nearly hit by a car. Officers responded. They gave the juvenile a ride home to his parents and issued him citations for driving without a license and careless driving. The juveniles probation officer was also notified.
