Powell Art students' mount heading to State Art Symposium in Casper

(Powell, Wyo.) - Powell High School Art Teacher, Jim Gilman has some very talented students. Matt Hollenback, one of his former students, reached out to him several months ago asking if his class would make a mount for his bear and deer. The class accepted the challenge and the finished product will be on display at the State Art Symposium event at the Casper Events Center next Thursday, April 21 through Saturday, April 23. "About 20 students worked as a group on this project. It took them about two months," Gilman explained. "I'm very proud of them." Gilman added that the project will also be available for viewing by the public at the Powell School District's Art Extravaganza the week following State Art. Take a virtual video tour here .
