Cody High School Junior first to enlist in Army Infantry of Wyoming

(Cody, Wyo.) - Cody High School junior, Caitlin May, is the first female to enter into the U.S. Army infantry in Wyoming and the third female to enlist in Army infantry nationwide, Friday April 15, 2016. Her mom, Kristina Smith said, "She is elated to be a part of history and has considered the enlistment over the last six months." Her training will commence June of 2017 at Fort Benning Georgia. Kristina added, "I, her siblings and her step-father Jason Smith, are very proud of her!" Caitlin has resided in the Cody area the last five years. Previously being a military dependent herself, she has lived and visited many countries and was born in Sacile, Italy. She is an active member of the CHS swim team and looking forward to next years’ swim session in the fall.
