The NRA Foundation Awards $11,891 to the Park County 4-H Shooting Sports

(Powell, Wyo.) - The NRA Foundation has awarded the Park County 4-H Shooting Sports a grant totaling $11,891 to fund the purchase of new 4-h shooting equipment. "We are very excited about getting new rifles and teaching our 4-h kids safe gun handling," said Janet Erickson, "and pleased that the NRA is making an investment in our community and our youth." Park County 4-H Shooting Sports teaches youth with ages ranging from eight to eighteen. Youth learn the safe and responsible use of firearms, the principles of hunting and archery, marksmanship and much more. The activities of the program provide young people with opportunities to develop life skills, self-worth, and conservation ethics. The shooting disciplines include archery, muzzle loading, pistol, rifle, shotgun and hunting. Our number one goal is to promote the safe handling of firearms in a fun, controlled environment, by promoting the highest standards, safety, sportsmanship and ethical behavior. We strive to teach decision making, teamwork, self-discipline, self-confidence, and problem solving. #reboot #news
