Cody Optimist Club's Garage-o-Rama supports Park County youth programs

On Saturday, the Cody Optimist Club held its annual Garage-o-Rama, its largest fundraiser of the year which funds ⅓ of their annual budget. The event is an entire arena full of individual garage sales. Vendors are mostly local with a few who come in from out-of-town. With competing events in Casper and Meeteetse, this year’s event saw a slight downturn in its number of vendors, 85, but the Riley Arena was packed with shoppers. The author talked herself into and out of the coolest red, vintage, folding chairs multiple times, but a cast iron kettle and a vintage ironing board did make it to her car.
