East Entrance to Yellowstone set to open Friday

Yellowstone’s East Entrance is scheduled to open to travel tomorrow, Friday, May 6. The park’s South Entrance is set to open the following Friday, May 13. Currently, the roads from West Yellowstone and Mammoth Hot Springs to Old Faithful and the Grand Canyon are open for travel by car as are the roads from the park's North Entrance at Gardiner, Montana through Mammoth Hot Springs and Tower Junction to the park's Northeast Entrance and the communities of Cooke City and Silver Gate, Montana. There is no travel east of Cooke City on US Hwy 212.
