CHS Assistant Principal might get moved to the lead role

(Cody, Wyo.) - Cody High School Principal Bart Bailey has resigned from his position with Park County School District #6. Mr. Bailey sites family as his reason for resigning. "My wife and I both have found quality employment very near our Family Ranch in Montana, and I plan to continue in Education," Bailey told Reboot. "I am proud of the students that I have gotten to know over the last two years and have enjoyed their successes." Reboot spoke with Superintendent Ray Schulte this morning and although he was "a little surprised" to hear this news, he's supportive of Mr. Bailey's decision. "Right now the biggest challenge for us is trying to find a replacement this late in the year, as most Principals are locked down by now," Schulte said. At tonight's school board meeting, Schulte will be proposing a reassignment of the current Assistant Principal position which is held by Jeremiah Johnston. "Upon approval by the School Board tonight, we will proceed in hiring an Assistant Principal." Schulte explained it is far easier to find a qualified Assistant Principal rather than a Principal, especially this late in the year. *Feature photo: CHS Assistant Principal, Jeremiah Johnston via Reboot Archives / Pitchengine Communities* #reboot #news
