Park County Fair is in need of Superintendents- Apply within

Become a Department Superintendent at the Park County Fair! The Park County Fair – scheduled for July 26-30, 2016, at the Fairgrounds in Powell – is seeking superintendents for several departments. Most fairgoers may not realize it, but each department at the fair has one or more volunteer superintendents, in addition to volunteer clerks, to make it run smoothly. "Quality fair superintendents are vital to the success of the fair," comments Park County Events Coordinator Echo Renner. "It's a very important job that takes organizational skills, as well as the ability to work with the public." Superintendent duties include planning and overseeing respective departments and posting schedules, signs and decorations. Supers also line up clerks; work in conjunction with judges, clerks, staff and other volunteers; oversee exhibits and ribbons; supervise exhibitors and spectators; verify judge and clerk records; and manage check-in and release of exhibits. Lead, or primary, superintendents are needed in the Open Class Photography. Assistant superintendents are needed in Open Class Drawings & Paintings, Open Class Photography, Open Class Floriculture, Open Class Needle Arts, and 4-H Cat Show. Superintendents should be knowledgeable in their field, possess good customer service skills, be good with children, and willing to follow rules and guidelines established by the Park County Fair Board.
