(Cody, Wyo.) - Chris Guyer was raised in Billings. He has always been an avid athlete and enjoys any physical activity and movement - preferably outside. Ice Climbing was Chris's first real passion. "It's something I love to do and also love to share with people," Chris said. "That's how Cody was put on my radar." While still living in Billings, Chris traveled down to Cody every weekend to climb. "One thing lead to another, and I decided that instead of driving down here every single weekend, I wanted to live here." So he took a leap and moved to Cody. "One afternoon my friends and I decided to kick around on some of the local mountain bike trails just for fun," Chris explained. He immediately learned that Cody had some incredible mountain biking. "I was floored," he said. "In that moment, I realized that the mountain biking in Cody is truly special and worth staying for." From there, Joyvagen Cycles
"I envision and hope that this bike shop serves the community and brings
people together," Chris explained. "My core mission for Joyvagen is for it
to be a community space where friends can gather. I'm not here to just sell
bikes. I want to build community and help make our town even stronger than
it is now."
