U-turn attempt by out-of-towners causes firey crash

(Cody, Wyo.) - The cause of yesterday's crash on Highway 120 at mile marker 115 1/2 has been determined as an attempted U-turn. Trooper Todd Hardesty spoke with Reboot this morning and said a gray minivan, driven by 4 young girls from Minnesota between the ages 16-21, missed its turn onto Chief Joseph Highway, and attempted to make a U-turn. Upon its attempt, the minivan turned and crashed into an oncoming gold SUV driven by Lander resident Matlynn Snodgrass. The driver of the gray mini-van was cited. Trooper Hardesty would not release the name of the driver because she was a minor. The driver of the gold SUV suffered an injury to her lower leg. Trooper Hardesty wasn't sure of the severity. The girls who were in the gray minivan suffered minor bumps, bruises and lacerations. Trooper Hardesty said for unknown reasons both vehicles caught fire. He also reminds drivers to look both ways before attempting a u-turn. [image: 13262407_10206228685417405_1362077666_o.jpg] #reboot #news
