Guardrail replacement project scheduled between Meeteetse and Cody

A $987,000 guardrail replacement project is scheduled on Wyoming 120 between Meeteetse and Cody. K's Construction of Powell is the prime contractor on the project to replace about 20,000 feet of existing guardrail between milepost 58.231 (the intersection of Wyoming 120 and Greybull River Road) and milepost 62.634 on the north side of Meeteetse Rim. The project is about 4.34 miles in length. The project is expected to begin as early as this week. "Existing guardrail is substandard and is being replaced, and there will be some minor slope flattening at the guardrail locations," according to Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Todd Frost of Cody. "One-way traffic will be maintained during working hours with flaggers, with short traffic delays. Traffic will always be carried on a paved surface. We apologize for the inconvenience, but this is an important highway safety project between Cody and Meeteetse." Project completion date is Oct. 31, 2016. The Wyoming Transportation Commission awarded K's Construction the project at its May meeting. WYDOT contact for this project is Resident Engineer Todd Frost, (307) 587-2220. #reboot #news
