Fire north of Ten Sleep 90% contained

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Last weekend, the local firefighters responded to four fires caused by lightning. Since then, the Salt Center Fire, which was the largest of the four at 225 acres, is now 90 percent contained. Crews and other resources have been released, firefighters are cleaning-up, and management of the fire is being turned back to local firefighters with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Wind River/Bighorn Basin District, who will continue to patrol the area for the next few days. Officials says that the Town of Ten Sleep was very accommodating, making available the fire hall for the incident command post, school grounds for camping and local restaurants for meals. *Feature Photo: Members of the BLM's Devil's Canyon Hand Crew mopping-up the Salt Center Fire yesterday. h/t BLM / Pitchengine Communities* #reboot #news
