Get to know Park County's native plants and flowers

(Park County, Wyo.) - Have you ever taken a walk and wondered what the native plants were that you saw? Well here is an opportunity to find out. Mae Smith, University of Wyoming Extension Range Educator and Bobbie Holder, UW Extension Horticulturist will conduct a native plant ID walk on Tuesday, June 21 at The Nature Conservancy ranch on Heart Mountain. Those interested will meet at the ranch headquarters at 2 p.m. and explore the native for 3-4 hours, depending on weather and enthusiasm. Attendees are encouraged to wear outdoor clothing and shoes, bring water, sunscreen, camera, insect repellant, bear spray, a notebook and Plant ID books if you have them. Pre- registration is not necessary but would be appreciated. The cost is $5.00 per person.
