(Park County, Wyo.) - This Sunday is Father's Day, a special day for us to spoil the men in our lives. Are you still planning a special day for your dad or hubby? Here are some ideas that only Park County dads get to do on Father's Day: *1. Zipline the Sleeping Giant:* Where else can you zip from platform to platform between more than 7,000 feet of zipline? Just at the Sleeping Giant Zipline, which is now open! There is a Community Open House happening Saturday if you want to celebrate early, or you can book your ride for Sunday. Get more details and watch a video in Reboot's recent article, "Video + facts to get you stoked for the opening of the Sleeping Giant Zipline."
*2. Bid on a Saddle Mule: *Every Father's Day weekend, Big Boulder Ranch
hosts Jake Clark's Mule Days and Annual Auction. According to the website,
the goal of Mule Days is to bring together America’s finest Saddle Mules
and create a venue where the mules can show off their qualities and true
nature and disposition of a top Saddle Mule. More information about this
event is available here .
*3. Powwow with Dad: *This Saturday and Sunday is the 35th annual Plains
Indian Museum Powwow, a cultural celebration and competitive dance
competition. Dancers, drum groups, and artists from Northern Plains tribes
gather to celebrate their vibrant cultural traditions and histories. Get
more details here
*4. Father and Kid Golf:* On Sunday, the Olive Glenn Golf & Country Club is
hosting a Parent and Child Golf Tournament. Children of all ages are
welcome. A hamburger/hotdog bbq will be held afterwards and there will be
prizes! More information is available here.
*5. Shooting Targets with Pops:* We all have that story about Dad teaching
us to shoot. Here's a great opportunity to give back to your dad for giving
you that experience and introduction to shooting. Cody Firearms Experience
is hosting a Father's Day Special from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. to shoot their
Gatling gun. They are also offering free "PISTOL" lane rentals from 2 p.m.
- 8 p.m. Dad can bring in any pistol he has and shoot for free during that
time with a complimentary target. More information is available here.
