Horseback rider injured in Sunday incident in the North Fork

On Sunday, June 19, 2016, a tourist from England was injured in a fall from a horse in the Jones Creek area of the Shoshone National Forest approximately 2 miles north of Pahaska Teepee. The call came into the Park County Sheriff’s Office at 11:24 a.m. Search and Rescue was immediately mobilized. Allison Blay, age 55, was with a group of riders when her horse was startled by a jogger who suddenly appeared on the trail. The horse reared back and Blay was thrown from it. She lost consciousness for a short time and later complained of rib and back injuries. SAR members were able to approximate Blay’s location based on descriptions provided by the reporting parties. A medical helicopter from REACH Air Medical Services was then dispatched from Cody to the scene. Blay was flown to West Park Hospital at 12:56 p.m. where her condition is unknown at this time. *h/t Park County Sheriff's Office* #reboot #news
