Breaking the silence: Prevention Management Org discusses the importance of talking about mental health

"According to the American Association of Suicidology, In 2014, there were 120 deaths by suicide in the State of Wyoming," explained Rachel Williams, Community Prevention Specialist at the Prevention Management Organization of Wyoming . "Suicide is a public health issue. It is complex but overcoming suicidal thinking is possible." Prevention Management Organization has always taken a stand on this important issue, working to educate the public on the value of understanding the signs of mental illness and how to direct an individual to get help. A brief training over lunch could mean a life saved. "There are resources for help in our community and we'd like to encourage residents to get involved," she continued.
