Impersonating animal control officers attempting to remove dogs from homes

(CHEYENNE) - The Cheyenne Animal Shelter has received two reports of incidents that impersonating animal control officers are attempting to remove large-breed dogs from local Cheyenne homes, reports state. The two impersonators were said to be wearing blue uniforms and driving a blue truck with yellow lights on top, CAS states. Actual Cheyenne Animal Control officers will be wearing green uniforms and driving white trucks. To verify an officer's information, the officer will be able to identify themselves with their animal control identification card, and will have a badge number you may call to verify with animal control at (307)635-1453.
