UW Student from Cheyenne wins Graphic Design Award

Madison Cooley, a computer science and art major, won a top award in this year's "Steal This Idea" graphic design competition at the Association of College Unions International Region IV Conference in Corvallis, Ore. Cooley is a student graphic design employee in the Wyoming Union marketing office. Cooley was awarded the honorable mention in the print category for her poster promoting the Campus Activities Center's Friday Night Fever annual Casino Night event. Jacob Chavez Jr., from Rawlins, was awarded first place in the print category for his poster promoting Service, Leadership, and Community Engagement office's alternative break team leader opportunities. The judges determined the winner based on concept, design, editorial content, and effectiveness.
