(Riverton, Wyo.) – A second youth has been taken into custody in relation to the armed robbery at the South Federal Pit Stop Travel Center one week ago. A 16-year-old boy, Lynn “Cyrus” Tindore Jr. from Fort Washakie turned himself in on Friday evening in Lander, Riverton Police Captain Eric Murphy reported Monday. A second 16-year-old, Rae’Chelle Rae’Lene Charley, was taken into custody after her photo posted on County10 led to her arrest on Tuesday, Oct. 20. She has been charged as an adult with conspiracy to commit Armed Robbery and Aiding and Abetting the robbery. Tindore has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Robbery; charged as an adult, he could serve up to 25 years in prison for the first robbery crime alone. He is being held on a $100,000 cash bond. According to the affidavit filed in Riverton Circuit Court, Charley identified Tindore as her accomplice who was the one to actually rob the Pit Stop at gun point. After dropping off a third person, Tindore and Charley reportedly ran out of gas near Kinnear. Witnesses at the Kinnear Store described one of the two as wearing red or pink sweatshirt with black sweatpants; this was Charley. “The other was described as wearing a black sports bra and very short red or pink shorts and white shoes (Tindore),” the affidavit states. When the pair bought fuel from the store, the witness described Tindore pull a large roll of cash from inside the sport bra. “The youth advised that he had obtained legal counsel, so we contacted Patrick LeBrun (County Attorney) and he contacted the boy’s lawyer. As a result of that contact, the family turned over a .40 caliber Kel’tec handgun that was allegedly used in the robbery. At this point, the boy has not yet met with RPD detectives. “The case is still under active investigation,” Murphy said. “We did recover the vehicle used in the crime and it has been impounded.” Murphy said the vehicle was identified via surveillance video.” Murphy said none of the $300 taken in the robbery has been recovered. A third person of interest is also being sought. #shortgo
