High Wind Gusts and Possible Snow for Southern and Central Wyoming

Winter is on its way, again. A Winter Weather Advisory has been posted for the mountains of Northwest Wyoming from late this morning through Tuesday. The National Weather Service Forecast Office at Riverton Regional Airport said moderate to occasionally heavy snowfall will occur in the Western mountains above 7500 feet. Gusty Southwest Winds increasing to 20 to 30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH will occur across portions of Southern and Central Wyoming. THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WESTERN AND CENTRAL WYOMING. TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY…PERIODS OF SNOW POSSIBLE ACROSS WESTERN WYOMING…MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES…AND ALONG THE CODY FOOTHILLS…EXPANDING EAST OF THE DIVIDE ON WEDNESDAY.
