Vehicles continue to illegally pass stopped school buses in Laramie County

Laramie County School District 1 is still seeing drivers who continue to illegally drive past stopped school buses throughout Cheyenne, reports state. The House Bill 005 that passed March of last year, requires school buses in the state to have cameras on the stop arm of each bus. There are 109 school buses in LCSD1 that have externally installed cameras that allow camera footage to show the vehicle and license plate number of the drive-by, but some drivers continue to break the law. Not only can the driver of the vehicle be fined, but illegally passing a bus also endangers the children using the school's transportation. Make sure to watch for a bus with flashing red lights and a stop sign extended from the driver's side. #shortgo #news #headsup
