26 local organizations participate in Giving Tuesday to celebrate generosity in Cheyenne

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - There's the chaos of Black Friday, the feel-good Shop Small Saturday, the online shopping of Cyber Monday, but now there is Giving Tuesday, a globally celebrated day of giving back. Giving Tuesday in Laramie County has 26 partners that will be raising awareness today for their services provided for the community, and will be hosting online and live special events throughout the day. Community members are asked to consider giving back this holiday season, whether that be by donating or volunteering. You can visit each of these locations to learn more about how you can give back in Cheyenne. *Events for Giving Tuesday in Laramie County:* *Cheyenne Animal Shelter:* From 4-6pm enjoy 'Yuppie Hour' at Suite Bistro 1901 - Drink and appetizer specials, and a bidding for a vacation trip. *K9s 4 Mobility:* Stop by to make a donation. Central Bank & Trust; Cheyenne Dog Food Co.; Cheyenne Brewing Co. (donating 10% of sales) *Black Dog Animal Rescue: *Donate $25 or more to Give A Dog A Bone Campaign and be entered to win 3 weeks of training for your dog. Help them meet their $6,000 Giving Tuesday goal to support the Mod Squad, the only program of its kind for a foster-home based rescue in the country. *Grace for 2 Brothers: *Facebook event to erase stigma against mental illness. *Big Brothers Big Sisters: *Facebook event - bid on items from organizations around Cheyenne. *United Way: *From 9am-3pm local businesses will match dollar for dollar. *CASA: *From 9am-4pm stop by for popcorn and other snacks and learn about volunteer opportunities. *National MS Society: *From 10am-3pm enjoy snacks and hear about what MS Society does in Cheyenne. *Youth Alternatives/Special Friends: *Free pie from 10am-7pm, learn about volunteer opportunities. *Habitat for Humanity/Salvation Army: *From 11am-1:30pm, enjoy a free lunch at Texas Roadhouse and make a donation in return.
