Wyoming's Capitol will close Wednesday for restoration efforts and remain closed until 2018

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - The Wyoming Capitol will officially close to the public on Wednesday, Dec. 9, and remain closed until restoration is expected to be complete in late 2018. The Capitol Square Project will address health and safety issues, as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing deficiencies. Design plans will include larger committee rooms, additional public amenities and restrooms for citizen access. The Wyoming Legislature has set aside funds for the project for over 12 years, and it will now be completely vacated by the end of the day tomorrow, Dec. 4, when the Governor's Office move is complete. Due to the construction, all Capitol offices have been moved to new temporary locations . #shortgo #news
