Cheyenne-based company restores 1918 train to be on display at The Smithsonian in 2016

Wasatch Railcar Repair, headquartered in Cheyenne, was recently in charge of the restoration of an early 20th century train donated to The Smithsonian by a railway executive. A team of 20 people spent a year and a half restoring the train, anticipated to be seen by billions of people, at a new museum scheduled to open in 2016 in Washington, D.C., according to local reports. The Wyoming-based company also recently extended its operations to Shoshoni, Wyoming earlier this year, which it intends to employ 50 to 60 people. *Feature photo: Wasatch Railcar Repair/Pitchengine Communities* #shortgo #news
