Former missile facility to be converted into historic landmark by F.E. Warren and the State of Wyoming

The former Quebec-01 Missile Alert Facility north of Cheyenne will be undergoing renovation for the next couple of years to become a state historical site. F.E. Warren and the State of Wyoming are collaborating to restore the facility and open as the newest historical site in 2019, local reports state. The five-acre facility built in 1962, that once had two Airmen on duty 24 hours a day everyday of the year, was deactivated ten years ago in 2005. According to F.E. Warren, once the site opens, it will be the only Peacekeeper Missile Alert Facility in the country that is open to the public. *Feature photo: Antelope captured on F.E.
