Wheatland's Brockman leads at National Finals Rodeo in Vegas in steer wrestling

Seth Brockman, from Wheatland, has been competing at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas since last week, and took the lead yesterday for steer wrestling. Brockman tipped his steer in 4.5 seconds Wednesday, giving him the aggregate lead in steer wrestling tying for sixth in the seventh round, earning $2,115 and now leading with 31.7 seconds on seven runs, according to reports. Brockman stands as fifth in the world with $126,828. Cassidy Kruse of Gillette, and Seth Hardwick of Laramie have also been in Vegas competing at the NFR. Kruse finished twelvth place Wednesday in barrel racing, placing fifth in world standings with $163,269 in earnings.
