Two vehicle crash on US-30 kills 48-year-old Cheyenne resident in rollover accident

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - A two vehicle crash east of Cheyenne has resulted in the death of 48 year old Cheyenne resident Douglas M. Scholl. The crash occurred yesterday at 11:50 a.m. on US Highway 30 near mile post 369 approximately 1 mile east of Cheyenne. Scholl was driving a 1994 Ford F-350 pickup truck traveling east on US 30. Nicholas Sheridan, a 28 year old resident of Cheyenne, was traveling south on Reese Road driving a 2011 Chevrolet CK2500 pickup truck. Sheridan failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Reese Road and US 30 colliding with the Ford driven by Scholl in a broad side manner (t-bone). After the initial collision, the Ford driven by Scholl rolled. Scholl was wearing his seat belt but still sustained fatal injuries on scene. Sheridan was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected from the Chevy. Sheridan was transported by ground ambulance to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for treatment. Impaired driving and failing to stop at the stop sign are being investigated as contributing factors in this crash. Charges are pending. Scholl marked the 143rd highway fatality in Wyoming for 2015. There were 148 fatalities during this same time period in 2014. #shortgo #news #breaking
