Cheyenne's 5th Annual New Year's Eve Ball Drop: Events for the family and adults

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - The fifth annual New Year's Eve Ball Drop in Cheyenne will once again bring sparkle and celebration to local residents and visitors at the Depot Plaza, Dec. 31, 2015. It's a free family-friendly event that is expected to bring an estimated 4,000-5,000 people downtown to welcome in the new year. The event will include activities for children from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., inside the Historic Depot at 121 W. 15th Street, with face painting, Lego building, games, inflatables, refreshments and costumed characters in addition to horse and wagon rides and more will be offered. The early evening event will conclude with a ball drop and a brief fireworks display just for the kids. The Depot will be open for adults at 8:00 p.m. with live music, dancing, and a cash bar until midnight when the ball drops and fireworks begin. The partywill continue inside until 2:00 a.m., at both the Asher Building and the Depot.
