Two men arrested in Cheyenne for kidnapping and possession of meth. - K-9 assists in warranted arrest

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Two men were arrested Wednesday after a Laramie County Sheriff's Deputy encountered a disturbance in progress in the area of Ridge Road, just north of Four Mile Road. Joshua Miller, 36, and Daniel Garcia, 25, were arrested Wednesday on kidnapping by force charges, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of methamphetamine. Miller and Garcia had allegedly driven to a residence on Laramie Street, where they confronted a man about money owed to Miller over a previous drug deal. Miller had grabbed the man from the residence where children were present, and walked him out to a black Cadillac SUV said to be owned by Miller. The vehicle then left the Laramie Street residence and was in the area of Ridge Road when the kidnapped man jumped outside of the vehicle and ran toward a citizen's vehicle that was driving behind the Cadillac SUV. Miller and Garcia exited the SUV and ran toward the kidnapped man, then seen holding him to the ground when the Laramie County Sheriff's Deputy arrived on scene. An investigation ensued shortly after when a K-9 was called to the scene, in which the K-9 gave a "positive alert" for deputies to search the vehicle. A black backpack was found with a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia, two syringes were found under the driver's seat, and a piece of paper with directions to the kidnapped man's residence was found in the back seat. A search warrant was executed at Miller's home at 1805 Cheyenne Place, Thursday, where one .45 semi-auto Springfield handgun, several gun cases that did not have guns inside, ammunition, gun magazines, and surveillance equipment was found. Located at the residence was Nikko Johnson, who was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for domestic battery (second offense). The investigation is ongoing while the three men are held at the Laramie County Detention Facility. #shortgo #news
