Wyoming Highway Patrol bring smiles to a Rock Springs family

This year, Wyoming Highway Patrol Troopers in Rock Springs reached out to local schools to find a family to assist through the Christmas holiday. After asking around, Troopers were told about a caring set of grandparents who had stepped up and were raising several of their grandchildren. The school stated that the grandmother had a full plate and always had a positive attitude. "When Trooper Kannier went over to meet the grandmother, the grandkids were more excited about the patrol car than anything else," WHP Association posted. "Trooper Kannier explained that the patrol association wanted to help her and her husband get all the grandkids some extra Christmas presents for all the hard work they had done taking on the role of parenting again." Trooper Kannier, Trooper Lopez, and Trooper Duncan helped surprise the grandkids with several patrol cars to give them the full tour of the interior, and then presented the grandmother with a gift card for presents. "This is the greatest day of my entire life," one child who sat in the drivers seat screamed out. *Feature photo: Wyoming Highway Patrol Association/Pitchengine Communities* #shortgo #news
